Combined sorting

When one separation is not enough

Some streams contain different polymers, colours and other fractions together, making a multi-stage process necessary.

The actual sorting sequence depends on each material and is defined after its technical assessment.

When a multi-stage process may be needed

  • When a stream contains different polymers and colours.
  • When the objective requires several distinct fractions.
  • When successive sorting decisions are needed to achieve the intended objective.

The stages do not necessarily follow a polymer-then-colour sequence. The sequence is defined for each material after assessment.
